Gonggrabber's ARK Video Contest: Thanks, Compliments, and Next Steps (Spoiler Alert: You Can Earn ARK!)

My Videos

Here is my winning entry of Gonggrabber's ARK Video Contest!
Here are my other entries:

Introduction

Firstly, I'd like to express my deepest thanks to the ARK community and beyond for supporting me in winning the video contest. I'd like to give an extra special thanks to gonggrabber for doing two things (on top of putting together a great contest):
  1. Awarding ARK to all accepted entries. This move gave participants a boost of confidence to take part and put out some really great stuff. I had withheld my comments on videos during the campaign to prevent showing any bias, but believe this, that silence is breaking today. I was thoroughly impressed with so many of the entries and everyone will hear those thoughts today. If accepted entries receiving ARK had not been a thing, I likely would not have made an entry. In a winner-take-all environment I would not have felt comfortable competing directly against the very community members I'm sworn to support. With all accepted entries receiving ARK, it made me very happy and comfortable participating.
  2. Allowing everyone to participate including team members. As a long time community member turned team member, I have the unique challenge of occasionally struggling to feel included in various community activities such as contests like this. As a team member, I must watch my words more closely now and avoid doing things like endorsing specific delegates, for example. Having the opportunity to participate in this allowed me to express myself creatively and my love for ARK, and gonggrabber will always have my biggest thanks for this.
Here's something else you may not know about gonggrabber. GG's been in the ARK community far longer than I have, and has been on this Subreddit for a long time. GG is not afraid to stand up to skeptics and naysayers with a signature approach being "what are you doing to help." Reading GG's comments have helped me through darker times in the Crypto Winter, and I have always felt all the more proud and confident with ARK due to GG being here.

Next Steps: Time to Earn ARK!

Now that the contest is over and winner declared, it's time to put the community to work spreading the word! So, because I have won, and in the spirit of gonggrabber's quote "I'm putting my money where my mouth is," I will be awarding a portion of my ARK winnings to the community in exchange for promoting the winning video. Here are the things I will be looking at regarding video promotion with instructions on how to get my ARK. There is a limit of one reward per person per method. Any action taken before this post got posted doesn't count. All rewards will be delivered to you via Delegate Cryptology's ArkTippr Reddit Tip Bot.

All this promotion will be for the winning video entry.

Retweet With Comment
What you need to do: Retweet this specific tweet with a comment about what you thought of the video. You can also choose to tag some people you think would like it.
What you will get: Direct message me in Twitter to @ArkStickers and tell me your Reddit username. You will receive a free code for an ARK Stickers pack, delivered anywhere in the world!
Tag Friends on Instagram
What you need to do: Follow @ArkEcosystem on Instagram. Locate this Instagram post and tag three friends in a comment, who you think would like the video.
What you will get: Send me a private message on Reddit before you do it, then I will see you do it and give you 3 ARK.
Send an Email
What you need to do: Send an email to some people you think will enjoy the video. You should use "BCC" if you are sending one email to multiple people, and make the recipient be to yourself. This will hide the email addresses of your friends so they can't see each other's emails, as a courtesy. If you don't know what BCC means, ask me before you send an email.
What you will get: BCC me also in the email, then send me a direct message on Reddit. I will give you 3 ARK.
Alert Crypto Youtubers
What you need to do: Throw a Youtube comment on your favorite crypto youtuber's channel, letting them know what you think about the winning video and you think they would like it. For spam reasons, I don't think you should put a link in there. Just tell them to check out my youtube channel "Ark Stickers" and they can watch it.
What you will get: Before you do it, send me a direct Reddit message first. If they reply to your Youtube comment in any way, let me know and I will give you 5 ARK.
Score Me an Interview on a Crypto Youtube Channel
What you need to do: Figure out a way to get a crypto youtuber to contact me in some way (Reddit, Slack, Discord, Email). I want to be a guest on their show and talk about the video, the contest, our community, and what ARK is all about.
What you will get: Send me a direct message on Reddit to let me know who will be contacting me shortly. After the interview is executed, I will give you 50 (fifty) ARK. I will continue giving you 50 ARK for each channel you get me an interview for. No limits on this one. I also do not care how big or small their channel is. One note: if I have to pay to get on their show I would not be able to do that.

Ask any questions in the comments of this post. I will continue to run this program until the portion of ARK I have set aside for this is gone. At that point, I will seek other ways to potentially keep this program running. Good luck!

Honoring the Participants

I have a lot to say about the videos featured in this contest, and even more to say about the talented community members we have here at ARK. I will now personally applaud and thank the community members who participated, showing them how glad I am to have them here.
Azure-Infinity. Developing on ARK, ARK Dynamic Fees, ARK Community Commitee, ARK Delegate Types, ARK Hackathons*.
When it comes to participation in the ARK community, Azure-Infinity appears to be in perpetual beast mode. AI has a keen grasp on media creation as well, both still and motion. AI's dedication to ARK cannot be argued, and I see AI participate in multiple ways within the ARK community on a regular basis. AI is also a proud member of the ARK Community Committee, collaborating directly with me on helpful community resources. AI had a lot of great things to say during 30 Days of ARK as well. I enjoyed a lot of things about each of AI's entries, but I especially liked the hackathon video, which combined live footage from youtube.ark.io with explanations and clean graphics. I can't wait to see how else AI will enrich our community throughout 2019. A sincere thanks for your participation here.
Zzzoem. ARK on the Go.
Z's video puts a crisp perspective on everything ARK has to offer from the point of view of a mobile user. Uplifting music and well-paced content with quick-to-understand "tooltips" take the viewer through what it's like interacting with ARK products. I was especially impressed with the fluid transitions, from Mobile Wallet > Explorer > Voting > ACF > Call to Action really produced a beautiful result. Impressed.
Ledgerdary. SmartBridge Technology & ACES, IPFS.
Aside from having an awesome username that is nothing short of legen... wait for it... dary, Ledgerdary is around here on the subreddit and always has supportive and thoughtful comments ready to fire. Ledgerdary also participated in the 30 Days of ARK and is obviously very knowledgeable on ARK. I was very pleased to see L also participate in this contest, as well. L's videos lay out complex concepts in a simple way, which is one of the reasons why I liked the videos. Thank you for making them!
TheDevils4dvocate. ARK DPoS, ARK IPFS Hype Video.
Let's get this straight first and foremost. I really liked the music choices of both of these videos, the throwback tech-corporate style of the first, and the pure fun hardcore choice of the second. As someone who does (albeit amateur) voiceover work, I was pleasantly surprised to hear informative voiceover work on the first video. I also really enjoyed how TDA slowly transitioned the viewer from Bitcoin to ARK concepts, kind of like entering a wavepool instead of just jumping off the highdive. The second video is hilarious, worth watching just to see the 'hacker' get comepletely brickwalled by ARK. Cheers- I enjoyed the videos a lot.
Fakoshi. ARK Push-Button Blockchains, ARK Pay, ARK: Get Involved, ARK Explorer, ARK Subreddit*.
I saw Fakoshi join the ARK Subreddit, and our little corner of the Reddit woods is better for it. Fakeoshi's positive personality is similar to Ledgerdary's and others here. If I recall correctly, Fakoshi also helped out with comments for 30DOA and provided some great insight on ARK concepts. F's videos are light, easy to digest, and give you time to think. I especially liked the concept of an entire video all about getting involved with the project. I'm very glad you are a member of this community. Thanks for your efforts here!
Travis-DJSelery. The ARK Crypto Podcast.
Travis is ARK.io CMO. Travis does ARK interviews, works with ARK partners, and handles a lot of things behind the scenes. I traveled with Travis to Vegas for the World Crypto Conference and Poker Tournament, and it was great hanging with Travis in real life and watching him do his thing. He also has a great sense of humor, as you will see in his video about The ARK Crypto Podcast that I host every week at https://thearkcryptopodcast.com. The video definitely got a laugh out of me. Thank you Travis for all you do!
Crypto_Mining. Long Format ARK Overview.
Crypto_Mining has a Youtube channel and following. CM produced a longer video, outlining ARK's strengths and benefits in specific detail, with focus on interoperability and the ARK delegate landscape. I'd like to personally extend a lot of thanks to CM for his entry and involvement in the contest. CM even took it a step further by interacting with his network of followers, teaching them about ARK and getting them involved in the contest voting process. CM proved a formidable opponent, but more importantly, an ambitious person who took real steps to get the word of ARK out there. A special thanks for your involvement and thank you for making the video!
0bran. How to Find and Vote for a Delegate, ARK SmartBridge Explained*, ARK SmartBridge*.
0bran produced some great content for this contest. The first video struck me due to how downright useful it is. I could definitely see my younger brother being able to follow these instructions and successfully vote. I also loved the music choice. It's peppy and chill at the same time. 0bran's videos have a slightly different aesthetic than others here, using the ARK.io visuals (even notice it's a motion loop). Nice! The videos were refreshing and I'll say again, useful af. Cool transitions too! Great work.
BroadcastJunkie. How to Send ARK Fast.
BroadcastJunkie runs ArkForIT.com, where you can spend ARK on professional infotech services, right now being enterprise-grade antivirus software. BroadcastJunkie is also very active here on the Subreddit, and never fails to lend a helping hand to assist the community. Aside from this video, showing how easy and fast it is to send ARK, BroadcastJunkie also made a full Desktop Wallet v2 walkthrough video earlier this year. It's really nice and even shows how to verify the hashes of the download, in the interest of your security. I'm very glad to have BroadcastJunkie with us. Cheers!
pl4tf0rm2. ARK is Cool!
Watch out Azure-Infinity, platf0rm2 is apparently becoming a growing force within the ARK community! P is very conceptually creative, and it definitely shows in the video. The entry is as uplifting as it is entertaining. I definitely laughed at a few of the funnier parts. I also really enjoyed the ARK "Deal With It" graphic. Very cool. The little asterisks are great. "Results may vary considerably." Gold. The community also spoke through a lot of votes on the video. I can only assume that P had done some campaigning as well. It was great having P be a part of the contest, just as they were a part of 30 Days of ARK as well. Two thumbs up! Thanks for being here in the ARK community.
johnblockchain11. ARK.io (Hax0r Style)
Yes! This is my jam. A short video with a unique aesthetic compared to others here. Perfect blending of ARK.io visual assets and motion effects. I thought it was really really cool. If I had seen something like this not knowing of ARK, I'd definitely be curious to learn more. Definitely worth checking out the vid. There are a lot of reasons I like this video, and it's like a "dark theme" of an ARK video. Thanks for making!
ChooseArkChooseajob. ARK Mobile Wallet Walkthrough*
CACAJ isn't posting daily in the Subreddit, but I definitely see consistent action over the months. CACAJ is definitely repping the concept of participation in the ARK Ecosystem in full force, even through the username itself! CACAJ also participated in the "Describe ARK in One Block Time" contest and had a great entry there too. One thing I like about the video is it gives the viewer a good sample of what it's like interacting with the mobile wallet. I especially liked the step by step process of adding a custom network like Phantom. I noticed none of your entries were in the accepted list, so please contact me in Reddit direct message if you see this ;)
saeedanwar92. ARK Overview*.
From my experience on this Subreddit, welcome! You seem to be a new face around here. I'm glad you made a video. It shows in a simple and direct way what ARK is about. It's a shame it could not fit into the 25 slots. Please contact me in Reddit direct message if you see this ;)
0toierance. ARK Interoperability*.
As a forging delegate, 'del' helps secure the ARK network, processes transactions, and even runs a faucet that awards ARK to its visitors. Another video with voiceover! Nice! I also really liked the stars backdrop. It goes without saying that delegates like del and the rest are a tremendous asset to the ecosystem. Thank you for all you do here del! I noticed none of your entries were in the accepted list, so please contact me in Reddit direct message if you see this ;)
pssf84. ARK Overview*.
Hi, pssf84, welcome to ARK! I thought your video was informative and fun. Another unique aesthetic, too. It definitely achieves the goal of making blockchains seem less scary, which is a goal of ARK as well. I liked the friendly music and seeing the kid receive a trophy was pretty awesome. Thanks for making your video! I noticed none of your entries were in the accepted list, so please contact me in Reddit direct message if you see this ;)
smuorfy. ARK Paper Wallet*.
A nice entry detailing the procedure to securely generate a paper wallet for ARK. The graphics were cool, the text-to-speech voiceover was amusing but also extremely concise and informative! "Paul" is resting easy knowing his ARK is safely sitting in cold storage now. I also noticed that it seems this was the only entry pertaining to the paper wallet. I really appreciated that the paper wallet was highlighted in this contest with detailed steps on how to generate and use it. Thank you for this entry! I noticed none of your entries were in the accepted list, so please contact me in Reddit direct message if you see this ;)

Once again, many thanks to everyone who was in the contest and our killer community. Cheers!

[megapost] NYANdeas

We've come a long ways and I'm at a point where I've decided I'm going to really pursue this with everything I've got in terms of energy and devotion. I've got a prior commitment hanging over my head towards the end of this month, but once I resolve that, I'm planning on spending a couple months really digging into NYAN and seeing what I can do. So far we've just chipped away at the edges, but already we've seen some pretty impressive results. Just a brief recap of our successes first and then I'll talk about my ideas.
We've gone from 1-3 satoshi to 10-30 satoshi prices. Not bad. We've got two new block explorers up in response to the previous one going down. We've got an irc channel and active community members both here and there. And we've got me, the crazy bastard who's locked up 25% of the available supply and is planning to do everything he can to build up NYAN to its proper greatness, and got tipnyan going and did a major giveaway with it. Oh, and we survived a dump of ~10% of the available supply quite comfortably. Probably other stuff I'm forgetting about right now.
So, what next? Well, a lot of stuff. This is just a huge dump of ideas for discussion and inspiration. It's not necessarily ordered, although I'll try to have it go roughly from simplest to most complex. These are by no means promises or guarantees. This is just stuff I think would be cool.
Some of this isn't a "implement this", it's more of a blog post prompt or general concept.

Nyancoins Megapost - Central Link Collection

Edit: Going to finally start an overhaul on this (April 23rd, 2016); it's been six months since the last edit. I'm going to go from current back, so there's going to be a gap between this top, new stuff and what's below until I finish the update.
I'm just going to have the last six months all shoved together into one large update here. There's weak categorization, but basically just think of it as a huge list. In general, the newer items will be higher within a given category than the older items. I apologize if I left anything out which people would like to see included. Some things I considered more of a temporary update than something relevant months later, but just PM me and I'll add anything requested!
We're currently in a quiet low point. Nothing catastrophic is happening, but we are relatively weak. I call it "the best nadir" because if this is as bad as it gets, we're doing alright. The price is down to 4 satoshi now, which is the lowest sustained price since the beginning of the revival. I'm going on a year behind my original goal for releasing NYAN2, still stuck on a new build computer (alternately time and energy to cripple together a build system out of what I have available).
One major new element: I've set a goal for us to have a mission to visit the site of Apollo 17 in twenty years. This is basically a new dimension. For the first ten years, I envision this as a purely "paper program", doing research on past space programs, in particular Mercury through Apollo, but any and all launch platforms and spacecraft which have been done. We may additionally seek to gain additional education (for instance, I would like aerospace engineering and material science undergraduate degrees at a minimum; we also are going to need experienced test pilots).
Space Program Initial Vision: [NYAN 2035] We must send a mission to visit the site of the Apollo 17 plaque on the Moon
Also, I've replaced the previous "Nekonauts of the Month" competition with a "Who Wants to be a Nillionaire?". The major difference is that rather than relying upon me to track everything, the expectation is that Nekonauts will sign up and self-report accomplishments.

The faucet is down temporarily at time of this writing, but it'll be back up before I update this section likely. General
Catch-all category. Okay, this category got out of hand. I should do a second round later and break this out into a few different ones.
The best argument I've heard so far for keeping the 1MB cap in Bitcoin - I still think it would have been better for Bitcoin to grow, but this is the strongest argument for its stagnation in capacity that I've seen.
[conceptual design] How we should expect 100,000 transactions in a minute (or second?) to be handled - This is about the idea that we should expect to be able to handle large loads without crashing. Pretty basic. Related to an /cryptocurrency post I'd made: 100,000 Transactions Per Second: How Do We Get There?, which gives a very high-level overview of one way to reach high throughput capacity using blockchains.
Interesting cryptocurrency to try: raiblocks, protocol without transaction fees or block rewards - I think Raiblocks will be a valuable "companion coin" to Nyancoins ultimately. I don't know how exactly that'll work, but I believe that good cryptocurrency communities should make alliances. If nothing else, we can be valuable to each other as the "loyal opposition", critics who want to see success.

BIP101 implementation to be made available for altcoins - prohashing announcing that they will have a Scrypt BIP101 implementation; this is planned to be our base for NYAN3
Year 1: Acquisition and Triage ; Year 2: Acquisition and Build - Optimistic; in reality, year two of the revival has largely been me just trying to survive. Hopefully more acquisition and build as the year goes on.
[technical] [financial] Price Stability and Consistent Hashing - Basic theory. If we have consistent prices, we'll have more consistent hashing.
[technical] [forking] [NYAN3] Should running old defaults be considered a vote against a hard fork or should the veto need to be explicit? / General voting discussion - What it says on the tin. I haven't gotten feedback on this yet. It's far in the future, but I think it's a critical question. I'm not sure which way is correct.

I updated the major risks page for Nyancoins to include mention of the fork bug and 'time warp'. Please review and comment. - bolded for visibility; I consider the risks document and making sure that we inform potential buyers as much as possible to be a critical requirement for us
[technical] [security] Time warp, fork bug, disclosure policies, and practical results: a working system despite flaws - Discussion of the success of Nyancoins as a working system despite its technical vulnerabilities.
Zero Fees (*) - Discussion of the role of zero fee transactions and why I consider them important
[finance] [meta] [Misadventures of coinaday] overdrafts and consequences / Cryptopia 1sat Dump - Discussion of my stupidity and its consequences on Nyancoins' financial health
[technical] NIP 1: Base NYAN3 on XT - I consider this critical. We will make a statement about not following the path Bitcoin is currently going down. This is not urgent for us because our activity is so low, but it will be part of building a strong foundation for the future.
Hodling Update: 30% - I haven't done the math recently. I'm probably within 5% of this, but I don't know if I've gone up or down. I haven't given away a whole lot, but I have put no new money into Nyancoins for months from being so broke. I've still gained some millions more from when my 5 satoshi bids got hit though.
[finance] Up? Down? Horizontal? - Considering 30 - It's pretty sad how far we are from 30 satoshi now (4 satoshi at the moment). I believe we'll get it back ultimately, but the revival certainly hasn't had the financial success I'd hoped.
Dice soft launch - Not sure of the current state here. Check with KojoSlayer.
State of the NYAN October 2015: An interlude for gratitude and yearning for more - I should get back to doing these monthly eventually. Right now it's quiet enough that there doesn't seem to be a real need.
[financial] NYAN vs DOGE as a long-term store of value - What it says. I believe that the lower supply inflation and smaller supply of NYAN will ultimately lead to NYAN trading above DOGE (currently trading at less than 10:1).
[finance] [stats] [gaming] Breaking the Bank: Risk-of-Ruin, Dice Games, and Basic Logic - I'm pretty proud of this one. By having more money than god, and a screwed up default max bet rule, I was able to beat the house. 8-)
100M - Talking about the remaining supply and the implications.
I think I'm done with this update (at least getting the new content in; I have not changed the old text and content, which is everything below).
Since I can only have one thing stickied at a time, but there are a lot of different things going on, I've switched over to having one main link collection post. And this is it.
I'll update this periodically (I'll try to do a major update once a month) and might replace it at some point. It'll have general discussion of the context behind why these various threads are significant.
I'm doing August and September together for Nekonaut awards and updates here since I got a bit busy at work. NYAN2 is released as a first-draft, but I haven't built it yet (nor done final changes and fixes). I need a computer with more RAM than what I have available to me now. However, I'm quite satisfied with the performance of NYAN1.2, ancient though it may be, so I'm not treating it as an emergency.
The biggest news is that we are now listed on cryptopia.co.nz ! They are a great community and provide better ecosystem support than most exchanges: they include a pool and explorer along with the exchange. And their exchange has a lot of basepairs, with NYAN/BTC, NYAN/UNO, NYAN/DOGE, and NYAN/DOT being relatively active, NYAN/LTC being quiet, and the other two (popularcoin and feathercoin) being unfamiliar to me and generally unused.
Oh, also, when I've taken a look at it, the Nyanchain seems to be running smoothly. I haven't been watching too closely, but the status page is usually showing all green. I especially like seeing the high number of connections (generally close to 30). [Comment from July version; still accurate. I should get automated metrics on the Nyanchain someday, but in the meantime, it seems to be moving pretty smoothly anecdotally.]

We could use something more than just an instantaneous status page; if someone wants to make something which does statistical analysis of the performance of the nyanchain, that would be awesome.
Broke through the 40 satoshi ceiling, and Plagiarizing great speeches in history and claiming to have a community mandate: Coin-a-Day writes inspirational pap as we stand on the verge of breaking through the 50 satoshi ceiling and envisions the glorious future ahead - and rather more. The price dipped back down on Cryptsy since, but we had a nice rise for a while. I'm hoping that when we get an exchange we have confidence in, we'll see more buying again.
Warning: Cryptsy does not process large NYAN withdrawals - This is why I recommend not using Cryptsy; plus this

Classic Posts
Why Nyancoin will hit $1/NYAN (and much more). We're going to space, and you're invited! - This is an infamous post by americanpegasus. I believe it was actually someone mocking him in /bitcoin by linking to this which first made me aware that Nyancoins existed, and got the idea in my head that it was a deadcoin (from seeing a post/comments on the sub at the time which claimed that). So the dream of this post was actually so bold that it brought it back from the grave, because it was bold enough to be mocked, and that mockery eventually led me to investigate it, and that investigation led me to fall in love.
1Ɲ >= 1Đ - This is a vision I have, that we shall rise above DOGE. This is not a dig against DOGE but merely a statement about the growth I expect to see us have. There are about 500x as many Dogecoins as there are Nyancoins, so even if we remain significantly smaller we can easily pass their unit price. We've done so briefly previously but are currently below this mark.
We choose to go to the Moon - This is my manifesto about why I am doing this. Cribbed from JFK's moon speech, it is meant to express that it is because of, not in spite of, the challenges that we face that I am here. This started out as a personal challenge. While I certainly would like to get rich off of this, the reason I chose to pursue this is because if we do then, then we're awesome badasses that people can be impressed by.
The original Nyancoins intro video - wasn't really sure where to categorize this
Older stories
I'll move stories down here as they get older. For now it's the block stoppage stuff as that seems to have stabilized.
Holy shit, 22 hours since the last block. At this rate, I'm going to have to start solving hashes by hand... - This was my post about the block stoppage.
Difficulty has spiked again; if we hit another stall I'll try the transaction fee trick again - Another block stoppage, and a record of my attempt to use the same trick to break it loose again (transaction fee incentive).
I'm ready to give up on life; in which coinaday finally has his full-blown mental breakdown. So long, and thanks for all the rainbows! - My personal mental breakdown. Just listed here because it made an impact. Also, it was an amazing response from the community which meant a lot to me.
Fuck it; encore une fois - My reaction afterward, saying that I'll give things another shot.
GFS
Disregard the below: GFS has been down for a few months and probably won't be back. At one point, this project had been offered to me, and perhaps I should have taken it, but I felt like I was already heavily committed here and couldn't take that on as well. It's a shame that no one managed to keep it running though. I really liked the idea.
Disregard the below: it's back down again, last I checked. Not sure what to link on that. The new bot got mildly political again / referenced being a shadowbanned user, and bam. I'm not sure where this is going to go now, if anywhere. Although I suppose the on-blockchain stuff isn't affected, and I'd wager go1dfish will do something again.
/GetFairShare will be attempting another distribution today; go try it out! - GetFairShare is back! Go get free money!
I don't really understand what's going on, but apparently the bot used for /GetFairShare got banned - Some background on GFS having gone down
I think that this will continue to be useful as we gain a larger and larger volume of posts and help me not have to worry about burying something significant posted a couple weeks back or something.
Also, right now I'm just gleaning from the frontpage, but I'll add in some great classic posts too.
Let me know in the comments if there are other posts you'd like to see added here.

Let's Talk About Enhanced Features

That is, features that enhance the experience, pull us back on the level of The Pirate Bay as it was.
I've got two big complaints about MercBay, and we're going to talk about them both here so that we can get them solved.
  1. Voting, Comments and Flagging
  2. Difficulty of Submitting (accessibility of coin)
So let's knock those out.
In concern of VCF, I am considering building a clone of Reddit:
https://github.com/reddit/reddit
And do the following to it:
  1. Build a bot. This bot will go to work whenever a submission is made to the blockchain (likely culling the data from chainexplorer.info) with our standard LINK hook (4c696e6b). It nabs the data submitted from the blockchain and uses it to do the following.
  2. Tags submitted with a magnet link will do one of two things: create a subreddit named what that tag is or if the subreddit is already created, post the following underneath it. The license selected for Creative Commons also will post the information under the appropriate marked CC subreddit as well.
  3. The title name of the torrent becomes the title of the post.
  4. The description of the torrent becomes the text, followed by the magnet link submitted and the link to chainexplorer.info reflecting the data associated with the submission.
  5. Field for optional username.
Let me know if I missed anything important on that.
Here's where it gets good.
When you submit on MercBay and the information is organized on chainexplorer.info, culled from this Reddit clone, it makes the post but does so under the user's account ID submitted from the site.
There has always been talk about tying Reddit's upvote/downvote system with cryptocurrency, but obviously it limits the scale and reach of the site if you're not allowed to upvote without having money in an account to do it. But what if the we solve that income generation issue? Check the bottom of the post for the technical details.
So the upvote system would be tied to, when you upvote someone, you're taking a TIPS from your account and giving it to them. So the username submitted with the form will earn all the tips that someone upvotes to them.
Let's talk about fraud for a second on this approach. Is it possible for someone to submit someone else's username on a bad magnet link submission? Yes. However, since it's posted under their name, their account, they will have to ability to delete the submission from under their Reddit clone account.
Remember there's an associated cost with submissions. If someone tries to "destroy" another user by making bad submissions, all they're doing is wasting money while the other user, the true user, can veto the submissions.
Downvotes do no payment or take payment, they are only reflective of bad quality.
Commenting will be "free" and also compatible with tip bots, so if someone wants to give more TIPS than a simple upvote can provide or tip in whatever other currency, they can do that.
Report function will work as normal, but we'll work through that later. I am on the fence about it's full functionality. Maybe build a nuclear option if, for example, a post gets 50 unique reports for bad content, it automatically hides the post from view.
Submission Difficulty (access of coin)
Those of you that have been around for awhile remember idigdoge.com and my TIPS rebuild of it, the original TippingIntensifies. What it was was a javascript based coin miner that worked when someone visited a webpage.
http://idigdoge.com/ https://github.com/7THStage/idigdoge
As you can see from the original build, it was an info page, you went down to the bottom and saw your hashrate, could input your email address and a database in the site kept track of your earned coins, where you could make a request to the person who ran the site to have your coin sent to the address of your choosing.
I plan on appropriating this software in two different ways. One that effects MercBay, one that effects the Reddit clone.
On MercBay, I plan on putting a checkbox on the Submit page and title it:
-I Want To Make A Submission But Have No Fedoracoin
Leaving it unchecked operates the site as it is now. Checking it will grey out the submit button and add a countdown timer. You wait on the page, and after the timer ticks down, the submit button resurfaces and you click it. The new "give coin to this address" shows the address and then gives a field to paste that address into. After clicking submit, a payment is made to the address reflecting in the next pop up showing TXID and a successful submission.
How the fuck does that work?
The intent is to keep the person making the submission stay on the page long enough in order to generate coin for a combined, community fund, that'll be kept stocked up. Their submission request then, is paid by the fund like one would receive from a bitcoin/altcoin faucet.
Is it possible to abuse? Someone could stop the script for the mining in their browser but allow the script for submissions to continue, but it's not likely and, it's more likely that lurkers and believers leaving the page open will pay the cost inadvertently for the free loaders, or have the fund just ready to donate to in order to keep the wheels rolling.
The same script can be used in the Reddit clone in order to build "credits for upvoting" for a user, i.e., the longer they sit on the site, the more upvotes are generated for them to hand out, and thus, coin. Up in the air if that's going to be submissions from personal accounts as originally presented or from a community fund. Again, feedback is necessary.
Okay, I'm out of time again and have to hit the road. I'll be back later to answer any questions. Thanks again.

this thread is to notify all sites in this board. i play these hyip games very often, and i have a good understanding on how it work, who is scam, who is not. I have play hyip for over 2 years, i know which one will last long, and as a result my investment usually result in profit. i will post status of hyip, if i have invested, and my rating out of 10 based on risk and lifetime. this will be the 'one stop' thread for newbie, as i was once just like you! this can be a healthy resource for this board. note: i am not a paid monitor, i do this so that people in this community are safe. i will not take payment for site listed here. i may place referral link, but not more than once every 5 sites. i rarely place referral link unless site is good.
==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ==== ====
site types: Game: Site that state that it is ponzi/they are running a game Cloud: Cloud Mining site that state all investment go toward 'cloud mining' (90% of the time, not the case) HYIP: Sites that promise high ROI, can last long, but can close at any time! Faucet: Faucet games that let you pay for upgrades in return for higher faucet rates. These are known to be scams and yield very low ROI, be careful!
statuses: New: site is less than one week old Paying: site is over one week old and still paying users On hold: site is experiencing issues, do not invest but not yet scam Saturated: site is still recorded as paying, but the game is to old to pay new investors. Scam: site is no longer paying do not invest.
My rating are based on: - Expected lifetime - If owner has owned site before (noticeable with site script and design) - Plan offered (high roi, higher risk) - Domain/Hosting type (free, drop points) - Script (if duplicate of other site, or just html site, lower point) all site start with 5 rating points for fairness. rating reason is all under the monitor table.

my advise: - Iz-Nop fair ponzi game, do not invest to late into round, always be aware of when new round start. - Invest-coin goldcoder script and fairly new, be careful, invest small if you decide to - One1-Touch also goldcoder script and paying, promising, but keep investment at steady pace. - Doublebot saturated, not wise to invest - Robitbot is getting very big, now is the cut off for investment before the scam period is going to begin. I recommend not to invest now, it is to late! - CoinBooster seem trustworthy, but be careful as most faucet based site go scam quick. There may be hope with trustworthy hero, but never be to sure. - CryptoBoost is paying, though using noncustom script. Invest in short plans if you invest, and small amounts to make sure losses aren't to large if it goes sour. - CryptoFate is new, but eventually will become saturated or collapse. It is not sustainable even though it is a game. It is safe to invest, until 20 day mark (break even for first day loser for 5% per day). - WalletPlus is quite large in fiat investment, offering semi-stable roi. This is an ok investment, but not my most recommended. Safer than most site on the list. - Ore-Mine been online for quite a long time, and has paid considerable amount. This could be proven to be online for a long time, or sign of soon collapse. Be careful, but could be stable investment. - Delta Investments owned by an altcoin owner and quite trustworthy member. Could be trusted, as also gives stable ROI. No website with automatic processing lets the rating down. - Sea-Mining is a new cloud mining site, seem inactive admin...Be careful with this site after BTC-pyramid cloud collapse. - Crypto Pyramid legit pyramid site...6 month old, a bit late to enter the game, but investments still constant daily.
