Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet

A community dedicated to Bitcoin, the currency of the Internet. Bitcoin is a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. You might be interested in Bitcoin if you like cryptography, distributed peer-to-peer systems, or economics. A large percentage of Bitcoin enthusiasts are libertarians, though people of all political philosophies are welcome.

I have some bitcoin on a ledger I would like to sell for fiat. How do I do this?

DO I just send to binance sell for fiat and withdraw to my bank account? (I'm in USA)
I know this is probably super basic but for some reason I can't find solid info or I'm just confused.
Thanks!

You now have enough bitcoin to order a hit on someone using the absolute #1 best hit man available. With him you have a choice to decide how they die. No rules. Nothing off limits. All bets are off. Who do you kill, how do you kill them and why do you choose them?

I am interested in supporting the adoption of crypto. Thinking of sponsoring a few local bitcoin machines that have decent premiums (rather that the 10%+ I have been seeing). Any leads on how I could get started with this (lower cost devices to utilize with decent owner/operator support)?

how do some sellers sell bitcoins to a user who doesn't have the verified id?

hi everyone, i was looking at some offers on PAXFUL.com and i found some sellers who have ads where they sell btc without requiring identity verification. The method used for the sale is paypal to friends and family. If the unverified user makes a paypal payment with a stolen credit card, the seller will lose his money. how is this possible?

I Did It! I figured out how to use Bitcoin. I am downloading Bitcoin Core Wal. but have not used it yet. I have never used bitcoin. While it installs, I installed Electrum on my Mac & bought $4 of bit on CashApp & moved to My Wallet on Electrum. I lost like 11cents on $4.13. It there a cheaper way?

Would it be possible to have Bitcoin in the 80s or in the 90s? If so, how would wallets work? Would it truly be decentralized? Would it even be possible? I'd love to hear your opinions!

Recently been told I can have two Bitcoin accounts on my Ledger Wallet.. Would like two Native Segwit accounts. Can anybody suggest how to do that? Thanks!

It’s only letting me install the BTC app once and when trying to open a second BTC account in the BTC app on the Ledger Live app for the Mac, it seems to be showing ‘Segwit’ for the 2nd account.
I have heard though Native Segwit is better, faster and cheaper for transactions.
So just wandering how to get 2 Native Segwit accounts.
Or is this not possible?
If it’s not possible. Is it perfectly fine to have one of each of the different types? Is there anything I need to know extra or is everything else the same, by having one account of each type?
And FINALLY. Which one would be the best to use for BTC that isn’t really going to be touched. And which one is better for adding regular amounts of BTC into...
Thanks guys!! Getting there!!
